The highest dharma of man is to attain God.

It is only through dispassion that true sacrifice arises. One should have a dispassionate mind. When one is firmly established in the Truth that God alone is real and all else is Maya, dispassion will automatically come. We have to free ourselves from Maya. We have to sacrifice all. We should not even have a single desire. No! No!

Feelings alone are responsible for bondage of freedom.

The only way to secure real peace is through the path of sacrifice.

What is birth? It is only a continuation of the previous birth.

Practice small acts of sacrifice and see for yourself the happiness that you derive.

Desire to attain God sets you free. Desire for worldly things creates bondage.

Sacrifice thrives through Prema and Prema grows due to sacrifice.

When are filled with love for God, feelings like anger, hatred and jealousy do not touch us.

Swami : Write about Feelings wisdom.Vasantha : What do I know? Swami You tell!

Swami : You start writing, while writing you will know.
Vasantha : Swami is it Feelings wisdom or Thoughts wisdom?Swami : Feelings arise first, then thought.

Controlling the five senses is possible by showing no desire in the comforts obtained through them

Test is a taste of God.Unless you are tested, your determination will not become strong.Students often write three or four tests in a year. Why? Exams are not to trouble them, but to validate and strengthen their undesrtanding of the subject. When they pass in flying colours, they are either promoted to higher classes or gain admission to very good Universities. God also does the same. Hence, welcome tests, not as a punishment, but as a protection. However hard they may be, you must clear it. Then you will definetely attain a higher state. God already knows who you are, but He may test you in order to set an ideal for others. What you see is one and what God sees is another. God tests you so all your sins and shortcomings are washed away. Just as gold is tested and attested for its purity, God' s tests are always for strengthening your courage, patience, determination and devorion.-

Freedom is touching God with pure love. To touch the world is attachment.

Do not think that it is wasteful to imagine. You aspire for your son or daughter to become a doctor or engineer. Being a worldly aspiration it may or may not be fulfilled. But if you aspire for God and keep your imagination centered on Him, it will surely come true. Initially, I used my imagination and today it has become reality. There is a special happiness in imagining about God.

Feelings centered on God help one to gain freedom from the cycle of birth and death.

When we perform every action in thoughts of God, an incredible power is generated. We should connect everything with the Lord. Initially it may seem like mere imagination, yet imagination becomes reality.

A mind fixed on God will always be at peace.

Again the scriptures tell,
‘Jagamay Sarvam Vishnumayam’
The entire world is pervaded by Lord Vishnu.

‘Isavasyam Idam sarvam’
Everything here is verily the abode of the Lord.

We should learn to see God everywhere in everything. I have lived my life practicing this. I have offered every action to God. I have performed all actions with the feelings that I did all for God. For example, when sweeping and cleaning the house, I felt that this is God’s house; while cooking I felt this is Prasad for my Lord. Bringing up my children, I would cherish thoughts that they were verily Rama and Krishna. This is,

‘Yath bhavam tat bhavathi’
As you think, so it becomes.

The ego can never reach the place which innocence attains.

Ananyachintayantho maam ye janah paryupasatey 

Tesham Nityaabhiyuktanam yogakshemam vahaamyaham

To those men who worship Me alone,
Thinking of no one else, who are ever devout
I provide gain and security.

You can count the grains of sand on the seashore but you can never fully understand the glories of God.

Will You not show me a sign my Sai?
Thy grace! You are the One who conquers my heart!
Will You not let the world know this?
Show a sign!

You are in my blood
You are in my soul
You gave Your feet as my refuge
For all to know this compassion
Will You not show me a sign my Sai…

There is none in my heart other than You
There are no moments when I have not thought of You
You gave me Your feet in Thy grace
For all to know what I deserve

Will You not show me a sign my Sai…

The Gita is… the nectar of salvation.

“Dharma is our life, Truth is our breath. It is enough to walk on the path of dharma. Making such severe efforts for realization and attaining eternal truth is Ritham. We should aspire for this alone. Ritham is verily truth. Truth is eternal, yet in this world we cannot see anyone who are making efforts to realize truth.”

Material wealth is perishable, but spiritual wealth is permanent

 

We can realize Truth when we remove the thought, ‘I am the body’. Then every feeling becomes Truth.

Attachment and affection lead to confusion. Love for God leads to Self-realisation.

Truth shines forth in a pure and empty heart. Truth is felt and realized in Mukthi Nilayam. All that we experience becomes Truth. There is no name and form for Truth. It cannot be seen, it can only be perceived with wisdom eyes, heard with wisdom ears and expressed through the mouth of wisdom; its fragrance can be smelt and touched through the subtle wisdom senses.

The Lord gives liberation to those who want it and enjoyment to those who desire it.

In the last chapter of the Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna makes a promise, 

‘Fix your mind on Me, be devoted to Me, bow down and worship Me. So you shall come to Me. Truly do I promise to you, for you are dear to Me’.

If the mind is peaceful the body will not be afflicted.

God’s true form is Truth. We cannot see this with our physical eyes. We should become nameless and formless, only then can we have the vision of Truth.

Why desire a worldly kingdom when the kingdom of God is waiting for us.

To know that peace lies within oneself is true knowledge.

Grave for God; love him. Tell Him that you want Him and Him only.

Only those who have cut all worldly ties with strong dispassion can live in Mukthi Nilayam. In the Gita it states that only those Jnanis, the great souls who have removed all traces of ignorance, can cut through the tree of worldly life. The darkness of ignorance is nothing but Maya. We should light the lamp of wisdom and remove the darkness.

True worship is to be always in the thoughts of God.

To those men who worship Me alone, Thinking of no one else, who are ever devout I provide gain and security.

Worship is the journey of the soul to perfection. True worship is always to be in thoughts of God.

 

Our goal is Mukthi, Liberation. Our love for Swami is Bhakthi, devotion. He alone is Truth; everything else is Maya. Knowing that Swami alone is Truth is Jnana, wisdom. Once you know this Truth and perform all actions with the goal of attaining God, all actions become Dharma, righteousness. This is our only Karma, action.

The nameless and formless God takes many forms for the sake of devotees. The forms differ according to the nature of the worshipper

It is only through the constant practice of trying to transform oneself that Truth is revealed.

The seed of bhakthi lovingly planted grows into the tender plant of devotion protected by the fence of sadhana to yield the fruit of attainment called God.

When our feelings are turned towards God, they become Truth. When they are turned towards the world, it is untruth.

The man without attachment and desire is the wealthiest in the world.

Mukthi will only be attained by sacrificing everything. There is only one way to liberation. Sacrifice! Sacrifice! Sacrifice!

When we offer our actions to God the impurities of the mind are slowly removed.

God cannot be attained through worldly wealth or even spiritual wealth; all must be sacrificed. While performing sadhana, we will attain higher states. Many fruits of sadhana will be there to tempt us, our powers may increase and many posts will come. We must sacrifice all these and continue on our way.

The thought that predominates at the time of death, lays the foundation on which the next birth is built.

Feelings – thoughts – discrimination – focused on worldly things lead to knowledge. 

Feelings – thoughts - discrimination – focused on spiritual goals lead to Wisdom.

Our feelings should be transformed into wisdom. Mere knowledge is useless.

How we die will show how we have lived.

By using discrimination we know the real from the unreal. God alone is Truth, all else is illusion, Maya. Knowing this truth is wisdom. The path to attain Truth is dharma.

All actions that take you closer to God are dharmic and all those that take us away from the path are adharmic, unrighteous.

The mind absorbed in God becomes God himself.

Feelings arise naturally, whereas emotions arise when an external object or idea touches the mind. That which arises naturally, without any outside influence, is feeling. This is why Swami has said to me “You cannot touch anything and nothing can touch you.”

Whatever the trouble, pain or suffering, the only goal of our life should be holding onto the Lord’s feet. 

Wisdom is incomplete if it has not been put into practice. 

Harmony between our thought, word and deed, it is called triputi. We should not speak in an emotional way about higher spiritual truths that we ourselves are not practicing. It will influence the listeners and create an immediate reaction in them.
