The power of unfulfilled desire in man is the root cause for his bondage

The most important requisite for people in the world is truth based on noble thoughts. True thoughts constitute the real, proper wealth. The absence of good thoughts weakens the will power. With a weak will, one can not accomplish even simple things. To achieve anything worthwhile in life you must strengthen your will power. Your bad or good fortune is related directly to your thoughts. Sowing the seed of thoughts you reap the fruit known as Karma (deeds). Sowing the seed of Karma, you then reap the fruit called practice (Abhyaasa). From Practice, you reap the fruit of character (Sheela). From Character you reap the fruit of good fortune (Adrushtam).
Thus fortune is based on character, which is based on good practices arising out of good deeds based on good thoughts. Thus with the development of good thoughts, one's good fortune will also grow.

In the super causal world one merges with Truth, God.

Is Kanha inside? Or is He outside in the world we see with our eyes? Where is He? Is He in our eyes? Or is He in our heart? Is He in my songs? Where is Kanha? He is everywhere, inside and outside. Is this bliss outside or is it in my heart? Is it in my feelings? Or is it in my life breath? Is this bliss in the thoughts that have merged in Him?
This bliss is inside and outside. It is in feelings, life breath and thoughts of merging. All is bliss.
Is our Prema in my heart? Or is it in this melting world? The love is not only in the heart, but also in the world where we melt and merge. It is in our mind and sweetness. It is in Time and Space

In the causal world, one is at the frontier of Truth

Desires are the root cause for deep impressions. Every feeling that arises in the mind can either bind or free us. This binding is attachment. Through attachment, the thought of ‘I and mine’ arises. These thoughts of ‘I and mine’ come to us as reflection, reaction and resound. This is experience. Bad thoughts cause worries and suffering, which become deep impressions. Deep impressions are nothing but Karmic law. Accordingly, we again take birth. If there are no impressions, we will not be born. Chitragupta is said to be the accountant of lord Yama. People commonly say ‘Our accounts are going to Chitragupta; he is recording them’. Our deep impressions are Chitragupta. All have a Chitragupta within them; his records decide our life and experiences.

The subtle world is the journey towards Truth.

Swami said that I am His wife and asked me to write books. Yet, why has He not told the world directly who I am? Why does God have this hidden marriage? I could not understand. Rama told Mother Sita, ‘Life in the forest will be very difficult with many wild animals. You are used to life in a palace in a royal family. Forest life is very difficult’. Yet, why has Swami made me live in this worldly forest with wild animals? I was also in heaven. I am not a princess in a palace or the queen of a palace. I am the Empress of Vaikuntha. Why did He leave me in the wild animal forest of the world? He alone is the Emperor! What is this justice? I am crying and wailing. It is for this reason Swami said, “You tell like this and cry continuously, changing My heart. One day I will run to you!” Yet, at that time I did not understand. It is only now that I do. Swami left His Avatar’s body. He then went to heaven and again ran to me. It is from the 7th February, that He has been in my room. Swami, this greatest God, has now kept His promise.

The physical world is untruth.

In a puppet show, we see the many dances of the puppets but it is the puppeteer who is controlling them from behind the screen. This world is a puppet show; the screen is Maya. If the screen is lifted, you can see the puppeteer and have a vision of Truth!

An individual in the subtle body can translate into reality by mere feelings what a man in the physical body can only imagine

If the mind is withdrawn from the outer world and the consciousness is focused within, it is Atma.

What is the use of liberation attained after death? Can one experience it after death? Who wants such liberation? I am experiencing the sweet nectar of Sai here and now. This is enough. Why should I bother whether I reach heaven after death? This bliss of Sai is supreme to any heavenly bliss.

When the mind is conscious of the external world, it is caught in attachment

Everyone in this world is beset with one problem or the other and we pray to God for help in solving them. Although we pray to God and get our numerous wishes fulfilled, we never express our gratitude to Him by offering our thanks or by saying daily prayers. An exception was the great Saint Periazhvar, who eulogized the ever-bountiful God in beautiful verses:

"God has done much for this world. But the greatest gift He has given to us is the Gita, for which alone, we should recite His glory innumerable times."

Victory comes when a sadhaka has conquered the darkness of ignorance.

Whosoever worships the lotus-eyed God, who is the Lord of the entire universe; immortal, luminescent and stable he will never face defeat.

By doing more and more sadhana, jnana expands and one attains absolute wisdom.

Try to find the answers and be clear in your mind. This is the purpose of the Gita. Attachment brings us sorrow, disturbs our mind and can be a cause of suffering to others. We have to eliminate ‘Moha’ and learn to discharge our duties without attachment. We have to adhere to our own dharma, our righteous duty, regardless of the innumerable hurdles on our path.

We take birth not to be born again and again.
We should die not to die again.

God resides in the heart cave as a spark of blue light. As our sadhana intensifies the light encompasses our entire being.

When our Prema for God crosses all boundaries, the limitations of the body are also transcended.

Let me tell how I came to write this explanation on the Gita. On 29 October 2000, in my morning meditation, Swami said, “You are going to destroy all the evil in the world. You will bring about a spiritual awakening in everyone. Write a commentary on the Gita incorporating the 108 names that I have given you. The book should consist of 18 chapters and be called, Sai Geetha Pravachanam.”

The expansion of devotion is wisdom

On July 2001, due to boundless compassion of Swami, I happened to meet Vasantha Sai (fondly known as Amma), the Universal Mother of Prema, who hails from the small village of Vadakkampatti, near Madurai in Tamil Nadu.

On that day, Amma was holding a copy of her book ‘Sai Gita Pravachanam’ in her hands. She had just gotten Swami’s blessings, which was shown by the presence of vibhuthi inside the cover. As she was talking about the book, an idea came in my mind. I asked her if I could undertake a translation of the book into English. Amma went inside the pooja room and after praying, handed me the book for translation.

Since that day, I have traveled on a thought-provoking treatise on the Gita. By using her life experiences and colorful anecdotes, every chapter of the Gita has been lucidly explained. It is accessible and easily understood by all. Everywhere Amma has given words of encouragement to the readers. She has asked them to put into practice at least one sloka in their daily lives.
Owing to Swami’s blessings, I completed my translation. Swami was the beacon to guide me at every step, I am only His instrument. Amma, with her abundant Prema granted me the pleasure of translating the book. Sri Sai Srinivasan has given me encouragement. I am indebted to Sri Jaya Prakash for his assistance in the translation. I submit this translation at the lotus feet of Bhagavan.

The mind follows where the eyes go, giving rise to desire

Sri Krishna says, “Whoever worships Me in anyway they chose, I accept and bless them in the same way”

This statement aptly fits Sai Baba. Let anyone worship Him in any form and in any manner, be it Krishna, Rama, Jesus, Buddha or Allah. He appears to them in the form that they desire and showers His blessings on them. In order to prove the words spoken in Krishna Avatar, Baba takes various forms and protects us. His Leelas have been written in numerous books.

There is enormous power inherent in us. One can even bring the five elements under control.

There is a saying ‘the entire world should live happily.’ This is our heritage, our culture. The whole world should be happy. This is the real wealth we inherit from our ancestors.

"God is Love" is preaching.
"Love is God" is practicing.

A mother' s sacrifice is so great that it iw enough if one bows down to her alone.

Once God enters us little by little our past karmas are erased

Through the worship of a chosen form, one finally reaches a state where he sees the all pervading form of His ideal and so showers his Prema on all. This gives him great bliss.
The Jeevan Muktha retains his own name and form and experiences the Lord every second. This is the state of an eternally free soul. Instead of totally merging in the sea of Satchitananda, he preserves his individuality, gains experience and shares his wisdom with others. As I wanted to experience more and more, I entered all and experienced through all jeevas; this is Vasanthamayam. This feeling is the principle for New Creation.

Only humility will give freedom from desire.

Test is a taste of God.Unless you are tested, your determination will not become strong.Students often write three or four tests in a year. Why? Exams are not to trouble them, but to validate and strengthen their undesrtanding of the subject. When they pass in flying colours, they are either promoted to higher classes or gain admission to very good Universities. God also does the same. Hence, welcome tests, not as a punishment, but as a protection. However hard they may be, you must clear it. Then you will definetely attain a higher state. God already knows who you are, but He may test you in order to set an ideal for others. What you see is one and what God sees is another. God tests you so all your sins and shortcomings are washed away. Just as gold is tested and attested for its purity, God' s tests are always for strengthening your courage, patience, determination and devorion.

We should realize that the love we have for others is in truth only love for the Lord who resides within them

Who can know the glories of such a great God? How can I accomplish the task entrusted me without the grace of His divine feet? I explain the Gita from the little I have understood. If  you make an attempt to know the divine glories of God you will begin to see Him everywhere. There is no end to it! You can count the grains of sand on the shore but you will never know all the glories of God. One can see God in ever living being and in everything. We are happy to see something beautiful because Godʼs presence can be easily felt in it.

Sadhana ends with the attainment of Sathya.

I asked Him, “Swami, why do you want me to write this?” He replied, “Many people have interpreted the Gita. Those are in the form of commentaries or explanations of the slokas. Your account will use the experiences you have gained in life, to explain the lessons contained in the Gita. This will make it easy to absorb and prompt people to follow example in their lives too”

Prema is seeing the One in the many.
Jnana is seeing the many in One.

Α Bhakta feels happy in seeing God. God feels happy in seeing Bhaktha.
The State of Oneness with God is the State beyond the Gunas. There one has no body consciousness . One should make himself as nothing. When one becomes a non - entity, God takes him as a flute

Thursday, April 3, 2014

Happiness is what one experiences after having discovered the God within.

Above all, we should pray to God to become fit for His Blessings and to attain wisdom of the soul.

Wednesday, April 2, 2014

If we ask for something with intense one-pointedness, an answer comes from the Cosmic Power.

We should do sadhana to have the vision of the Indweller. When we secure this, we can talk with God, laugh and play with Him. This is bliss. This is Prajna, the causal body. The three bodies of God and the three bodies of man should merge, and attain Oneness.

Tuesday, April 1, 2014

One can manifest physical objects through siddhi powers, but if he transcends them he can manifest God Himself.

In the dream state, all looks real. Waking up from a nightmare, we are relieved. In the same way, we should realize this existence is nothing but a lifelong dream. We should wake up and know that all is illusion. We should do sadhana realizing God as the only Truth. We will not be born again, if we have a vision of the Lord.
