AWARENESS ARTICLE

Today, Swami gave a piece of paper. On it was written:
Om Sri Sai Ram
My most humble salutation to the Mother of the Universe.
Om Sri Sai Jai Jai Sai
Jay Jay Ram Krishna Hari
Jai Jai Ram
Jai Jai Sai
Jai Jai Ram Krishna Hari
Maanasa Bhajare Guru Charanam
Dustara Bhava Sagara Taranam
Meaning: Meditate in your mind on the lotus feet of your guru.
This alone can take you across the ocean of birth and death

This is what was written on the paper. To left of the song was a lotus with heart-
shaped leaves and on the right was a 5 pointed star. In the top point of the star was a
face with a necklace around it’s neck. It seemed to be the necklace of a woman.
7 June 2013 Evening meditation
Vasantha : Swami, what is this You have written about the guru?
Swami : Yes, I wrote...now you write.
Vasantha : Swami, who is calling to the Universal Mother?
Swami : All are calling.
Vasantha : What is around the star’s nec
k?

Swami : Dhruva became a star. Your star vibration pervades the entire world. It
spreads across the entire creation. It is your Mangalya.
Vasantha : Really? Is it real?
End of meditation
Now let us see about this. Swami wrote this song where all are singing to me. My
star vibration goes throughout the entire world. Dhruva became the pole star due to his
penance. My penance is for world liberation. So the star vibration emanating from my
Sahasrara enters all transforming them into stars.
This vibration enters the entire creation and all becomes God mayam. The New
Creation is Sathya Sai mayam. It is for this Swami drew my face on the Stupi star and a
Mangalya around my neck. When Swami returns, He will call me. He will then tie the
Mangalya Sutra around my neck. Only then, will the star vibration emerge from the
Stupi.
I am the sky lotus. I have come to earth and I am greatly suffering. The heart of
this sky lotus expands as the earth. Swami’s Mangalya represents my chastity. Without
the Mangalya, the New Creation can never come. How can a child be born without
marriage?
Swami must first come and declare who I am to the world. He must then tie the
Mangalya sutra around my neck. Only then, will the Stupi and Vishwa Brahma Garbha
Kottam begin to function. Until then, these structures remain as monuments. Swami
must come; otherwise, His Avataric task will not function.

AWARENESS ARTICLES

Man only uses 1/10 ofthe brain. It is through the science of beingthat we can
progress through yoga. There are eight steps on the path ofyoga. Sage Patanjali was the
one who found this out, ‘Ashtanga Yoga’,arethe eight steps or disciplines ofyoga. Yoga
helps to make the mind and body healthy. Ordinarily, many subjects are studied in a
syllabus. Yet, there is no science of being and spirituality. A syllabus may contain some
classes on morality that is all. It does not cover the whole science of being, how to live
life in the correct way. Life will be good, if the basis is spirituality. However, schools do
not conduct classes on spirituality. TheScience ofBeingis of the utmost importance.
When we progress spiritually, we can develop and accrue good qualities. Spirituality

means to give and accept.

Awareness Article #26
Science of Being
Swami, recently gave two pages of writing,
What is Yoga? Awareness–(lack of awareness is cause of misery)
To be aware of divinity within us. Makes whole–head, heart, hand
Chitti Vritti Nirodha
1/10 of brain power only used yoga to help to develop creativity
science of being. Acquire divinequalities–gradually
Spirituality–to give & to accept
Now let us see about this. The reason for all suffering in the world is
unawareness. If we haveawareness,we will ask ourselves, ‘Why have I been born? What
is the reason for birth?’ We will ask, know and then understand. This is called ‘Sat Chit
Ananda’. Sat is God, Chit is constant integrated awareness. This is a continuous one
pointed awareness. The one who has this awareness knows of God and attains bliss,
Ananda.
Divinity is present in all things. We must make it whole and complete in us.
Swami has often told of this as ‘I am God, you are also God’. If werealizethis, we can
become God. There are seven chakras in thekundalini. Yet, each one is closed. In the
basechakra,a power lies like a coiledsnake. Throughsadhana,we awaken this Shakthi
in us. The Mooladhara Shakthi then crosses eachchakrauntil it merges with Shiva in
sixthchakraor third eye. This is happiness. It is only when one attains this statethat
divinity becomes whole and complete. It is for this Swami said, ‘head, hand, heart’. This
is three H’s,harmonizingto become one.
In order for this to happen, we must function with awareness. Whatever thoughts
arise in the head must be pure. In order for this tohappen, the heart must be filled with
love. Heart becomes whole and perfect through this love. We must show love to all.
Then only our thoughts become pure. Whatever work is done through the hands must
be offered to God. When we offer all to God, each work becomes sanctified. Yoga means
ChittiVrittiNirodha-to control the mental impulses andthoughts, whicharise in the
Chitta.
Discipline is essential for this control. We must perform each task at a particular
time, making it a habit. When we live life according to a timetable, the senses come
under control naturally. They then also follow the same timetable. I wrote this as Yoga
Sutra. Swami has now said to connect Yoga Sutra with this chapter.Again Swami tells

Clown and Beggar
Yamini asked the question, “In the Aitareya Upanishad, it is said that Drishti means to see
with the mind’s eye. You explained for ordinary people, but how do you see all?”
Here is my answer. From my young age, I have never seen anythingfrom a worldly angle. I
connect all with spirituality. I have written of this before in greatdepthas‘cutting and
connecting’. Ordinary people seeone thingthrough their physical eyes, and something else
through their mind’s eye. Whatever I see with myphysical eyes I connect with God. I have
given many examples of this in the past. Thus, Swami now gives pictures, objects and other
things and asks me to write. I am writing about the wisdom of each thing. Whenever and
whatever I see, my eyes do not see the outer view; they see only the inner meaning. I am
telling of the inner divinity of each thing. There is nothing in this world that is devoid of
divinity. All comes from the permanent One God.   Lord Krishna has declared in the Gita that
allinCreation are like the beads strung on a single string. The beads are the many different
creations.  God is the thread, which all is strung on. When one sees the beads, the thread is
hidden from view. Only the beads are seen. Thus, all see the outer world and are deluded.
The beads, which are seen outside are all different. Man passes his time through his‘I and
mine that offamily, post,etc.
Touch feeling is the reason for birth. Whatever touches one’s mind, and shakes man is all
touch feeling. Thus, man is born and dies again and again.  It is unfulfilled desires which are
the reason for rebirth. We must know this truth andgainwisdom. It is only wisdom that
frees one from being born again. The mind is ever asking for things. Desires constantly arise
in theman, healways wants something or other. In one of Swami’s discourses He said, “You
are not beggars, but lions. Then in ‘Sathya Sai Speaksvolume 5, page 85He says,
...Are you not tired ofplayingthe parts of beggarsand clownsinsceneafterscene, birth
after birth?Aspire for the nobler role, at least now in this birth.
This is what Swami has said. Man is ever roaming, searching and running likea beggar birth
after birth. Now, at the timewhen Swami is here,we must not be beggars. All have come
here toattain God.Wemustrealise now,at the time Swami is here. It is due to desires that
manis ever runninghere and there. He goes from place to place, and makes great effortsto
fulfil his wishes. This isMaya; all isperishable. Ifthis isrealised, youwill attain immortal
bliss. This birth has been given to us to attain God.
There is a Supreme power within each one of us. If this is realised and used in correct way,
one can become Supreme.Man does not realisethat he himself is a beggar. When a beggar
comes to his door, he looks at him with disgust and chases him away. We plead with all like
beggars, losing self respect in order to fulfil ourpetitedesires.
The world is a stage, where all are actors. All are born as aspects of God. So, we must show
this truth through our lives.  All are children of the One God. All must declare,
...  I am not the child of a beggar! In this drama, I am a Prince, the son of the King. I am the
son of Emperor Sathya Sai. I am not the son of a clown.
All must think in this way. We must make vow to live our lives according to this. Yet, how to
live? We must be humble to all and show love to them. We must decrease desires and follow
the culture of Bharat. Speak truth and walk the path of righteousness. All must be satisfied

with whatever they have in life. Do not roam place to place for work and money. Nowadays,
all young people want to go and earn money in foreign countries. Yet, all earnings and things
are perishable. We cannot take money and posts with us when we leave this world. Whatever
is learned in spiritual life, the good deeds and qualities, alonecomewith us. We must
practice whatever Swami has preached over last 84 years. It must be practiced in our lives.
Enough of being born and dying again and again! Try to attain God. This is why the greatest
Avatar came and preached to all. We do not take anything with us when we leave this world.
There is no use in multiplying your lineage! Let us see an example. There is a man who has a
son. The boy dies and the parents wail and cry. Seeing their sorrow, their guru comes and
takes the father to Deva Loka. There the man sees his son and goestohim and asks, ‘Son,
how much your mother and I are crying for you, won’t you come back with me to our house?’
The boy asks, ‘Who areyou? I am very happy here. Why are you calling me to earth? What is
the connection between you andI?’ The boy leaves. The mind of man is like this. Who is
related to whom? There is no connection between the one who dies, and his family.  The
father was unhappy as his son was inheavenandtried to callhim back to earth. He wanted
his heir back with him. His lineage must continue and grow!  This was his desire. What is
this foolishness? However much you decrease or multiply your lineage, one day all will
perish. Realise this, discharge your duty without attachment and try to attain God. Follow
Swami’s teachings. Awake! Arise! You are not beggars! You have not come here to multiply
your beggar clan! You are the sons of the Emperor, Sathya Sai. If this is realised your name
will standin the world fora long time like that of Paramahamsha Ramakrishna and Ramana
Maharishi!

Jai Sai Ram
