Through the many attachments that we create with husband, wife, children, parents, we suffer in this world and are born again and again

How can these two be separated? It is only by turning the mind toward spirituality.
For example, there is a man who has become tired of worldly life and seeks spiritual life. One day he meets a friend, who tells him, “Do you know that God has descended as Avatar? He has taken birth in this world!
“God…here? How is it possible?”
“Yes He is here. I have seen Him.”
“Where, in which place?
“He is in Andhra Pradesh in the village of Puttaparthi.”
“What is His name? What is He like?”
“His name is Sri Sathya Sai Baba. He wears an orange robe and has a crown of bushy hair.”
“Can I see Him?”
“Yes, He gives darshan every morning and evening.”
“What does He do?”
“He performs many miracles, solves problems and gives relief to those who are suffering.”
The man is now aware of all the details about God from his friend.
Name – Sathya Sai Baba.
Form - Orange robe and bushy hair.
Place – Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh.
Time - God can be seen – morning and evening.
Action - What God does - performs many miracles, solves all problems and cures diseases.

It is only through sandhana and transformation that God can be attained.

In this way, a seemingly nonstop conversation began about dentists and teeth! From a single word, our minds created many thoughts. It made all remember their toothaches. ‘Which doctor have I been to, which medicine did I take, what day did it happen, in which year’. All began to recall many stories.
It is for this reason, the mind is called a bundle of thoughts. When one word touches it, a constant flow of thoughts begins to arise. Then those names and forms connected with the thoughts begin to appear in the mind. We remember the place, the time…all pass before our eyes. This is the connection between mind and matter. They are inseparable. If there is no ‘I’, there is no matter.
The life of an ordinary person is centered on the ‘I’, where the mind and matter cannot be separated.

Through the path of sadhana the sadhaka rises higher and higher in spirituality

Sathya Yuga
and Karmic Law

by
Vasantha Sai

What of the mind? The mind is a bundle of thoughts. What is the root of thought? Where do they come from? If we analyze, we will find out that the root of the mind is ‘I’. Who is I? I indicates name and form. What does the name and form show? It indicates the body. Time and again, man affirms that he is the name and form, ‘I am the body’.
Now that we have found the root of the mind, let us look into ‘matter’. What is ‘matter?’ Where is its root? What is its source? Let us contemplate.
All say ‘I and mine’. ‘I’ is the root of the mind and ‘mine’ is the root of matter. Man says, ‘My husband, my wife, my wealth, my profession, my car, my city’. In this way, he creates a long chain of ‘mine’. As this ‘mine’ possesses many things (matter), the mind continually runs in pursuit of them. Will this ever end? Whatever the mind sees it wants to possess. Desire becomes ‘I’. Desires become thoughts. The mind is a bundle of these thoughts.
The mind is ‘I’; ‘I’ denotes the body. The mind constantly runs after things and people it sees. It is running birth after birth. It is an endless journey.
How does the mind function? Let us see an example. Yesterday, while I was speaking about mind and matter, I asked Kanha to pronounce a word for me. The word was, ‘transcendental’. He did so and I said, “What is it…dental… dental?” When I said the word, ‘dental’, Nirmala pointed to her tooth and said, “Yesterday I had toothache.” All then told about their teeth. Kanha said, “Dr Lambodharan is our dentist.” I said, “His father is also a dentist.”

Sathya can be attained only through love.

3
Mind and Matter
5 December 2008
I opened Swami’s book ‘Master the Mind and Be a Master Mind’ and read the following lines on page nine. There Swami says,

“Even the highly educated do not make any effort to understand this. If you ask them,
‘What is mind?’ they say, ‘It does not matter’. If you ask,
‘What is matter?’ they say, ‘Never mind’.”

I contemplated…
What is mind?
What is matter?
How is the mind different from the heart?

On the left side of the body is the physical heart. On the right side is the spiritual heart. Here God resides, as the Indweller, in the form of a small blue light the size of the tail end of a paddy grain. The physical heart causes the body to function. It purifies and circulates the blood throughout the body. The spiritual heart purifies the mind and helps one to attain the goal of human birth, liberation.

The measure of Sathya revealed is dependant on the individuals capacity to grasp it.

As soon as we came to the veranda, we saw something written on the table. There were four rows of letters and numbers. On the top row it was written...

F 7 .1 5 son pp
February 7. 5th Is the point start from son’s house to Puttaparthi.

E S E 0 8 E 0
Each Second Enjoy Oneness, 8 letter Lord, Every moment O Poornam.

8 S S N E B
8 letter Lord release Shiva Sutra No Enmity Barrier

S 8
Sacrifice 8 people in fire.

I asked Swami to show a proof.  He wrote this message  and gave this explanation.
The next morning, we found amrith near where the message was written on the table. All took some. I said, “Swami asked us to put all the people in the yagna. After doing this, Swami immediately wrote this message and gave amrith. He approves!”

When people with the same nature pray with a single objective, their goal is realised.

Meditation

Vasantha : Swami, it is You who is performing this yagna today. You destroy all these people.

Swami : Do not worry. All will be okay.

Vasantha : Oh Devas! Saints, Sages, realized souls, come. Now we will place these people in the fire. You destroy them. Oh Yamadharmaraja, punish them or destroy them. Swami! You do something…

Swami : Do not cry. Do not worry. All will be okay.

Vasantha : Please show a proof.

Swami : Sure, I will.

Vasantha : Please, take my letter Swami.

Swami : Sure, I will take.

End of Meditation

After I opened my eyes, I noticed that there was vibuthi on Swami’s paduka peetam, which we had carried to the yaga shala. We began the yagna. Each one placed the models they had made in the fire. I offered all the poems that I had decorated and framed. We then performed Shanthi yaga, sang bhajan and offered arathi. When we returned to the house, we found amrith on Swami’s padukas. All took amrith from the padukas.

One can find innumerable ways to shower devotion on God.

I performed sadhana and this jeeva became Shiva. As I want all to be like me, a new Creation is coming. Swami said that the Shiva Shakthi principle is suitable for representing creation.

Like Shiva, I show compassion to all. This compassion wants to close the Karmic accounts so all attain liberation. Yet, Swami is now saying that due to this indiscriminate compassion, the dawn of Sathya Yuga is delayed. This is why Swami is freeing me from the clutches of those I have mentioned earlier.

When Swami revealed this truth to me, I did not want the ‘live long’ poems in my room. I could not wait for Vaikunta Ekadasi, the day when Swami said I should burn them.

I thought, ‘my vibrations are going from my room to the Stupi; the vibrations of the poems are also going to the Stupi. I cannot wait. I should destroy them immediately’. SV arrived and I asked him to read the chapter. I wanted to know his opinion. Later, he looked at the calendar and said, “Today is the correct day. It is a new moon day, and the day of Krishna’s star, Rohini.” The time was 3 pm. SV asked all the ashramites to assemble at 3:30 pm by the Yaga shala. Each of the ashramites made a cardboard model to represent one of the seven people Swami had told. One more model was to symbolize the ignorance in common man. I collected all the poems and asked Ramachandran to read them as the ‘outside witness’. We then proceeded to the yagna kund and meditated.

Afternoon meditation
Vasantha :  Swami I have written that Shiva is innocent and Vishnu clever. Shiva gives whatever is asked.
Swami      : Yes… Shiva is like you. You attained Shiva’s state. Now you have separated yourself into two and function as Shiva Shakthi. It is your nature to show compassion to all. You pour grace on those who act against you. Like Vishnu, I have to rescue you from them. Shiva Shakthi shows the principle of creation.

Shiva granted a boon to Bhasmasura. Whatever he asked, Shiva gave. Shiva did not see the difference between good and bad. This is one divine attribute of God. In the same way, Shiva also fulfilled Hiranyakasipu’s boon. Hiranyakasipu secured the boon that he should not be killed either in the day or in night, inside the house or outside, by man or beast, on the ground or in water, or through any kind of weapon. The Lord granted such a boon. Shiva always, immediately gives what one asks for. This is why He is called, ‘Bolanath’, bhola means innocent. On the other hand, Lord Vishnu is always clever.

After Lord Shiva escaped from Bhasmasura, Lord Vishnu descended and cleverly killed the asura. Vishnu always rescues Shiva from His many troubles and solves His problems. This is one divine attribute of God, the nature of the Avatar. Swami is showing this through me.

What do we understand from this? Obstacles arise on the path of those who are performers of great deeds. However, one should not show compassion for the wrongdoers. The Avataric task can only be accomplished by punishing the evil. In the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna tells,

“In every yuga, I descend to protect the good, destroy the evil and establish dharma.” In the same way, we can only establish Dharma if evil is destroyed. My aim is liberation for all. For this to happen, the few that are obstacles to this task must be destroyed.
You may ask, ‘If you are giving everyone liberation, why are you punishing a few people?’ This chapter is Swami’s explanation to that very question.

Swami Himself told the names of the seven people who are placing obstacles on my path. I will never forgive these seven people. Let all of them perish and not cross my path.

‘Oh Devas, Saints, Sages, destroy all those who are placing obstacles on my path and who are an obstruction for Karmic law. Oh lord Yama Dharmaraja, you are the one who fosters dharma. You are the king of Dharma. I have tied your hands. I have interfered with your Karmic law. All these days, I stood along side those who hindered Swami’s mission. Now you are free to punish them all...’

Tuesday, August 5, 2014

For the last 70 years, I have only had two thoughts. I should attain God and secure Universal Liberation. I am only living for these two things. These feelings are being sent out into space through the Stupi.

There are some people who are always thinking how to prevent me from seeing Swami. If someone harms a realized soul, the Karmic law will give them severe punishment.

Here, my blessings and the ‘Live long’ poems have allowed them to escape punishment. On one hand, my feelings protect them from the affects of Karmic law and on the other, their thoughts are a hindrance to my vibrations going to the Stupi. I have become an obstacle on my own path.

I asked for Universal Liberation. This will be realized only when Swami calls me. Now I see that I myself am nurturing those evil powers, which are preventing His call. My words, ‘Live long’, protect them like a fortress. It prevents the Karmic law from entering. It is for this reason that Swami asked me to put the poems I wrote in the yagna fire and destroy them. It is only after Swami explained that I understood the very very subtle nature of Karmic law.

Monday, August 4, 2014

Bhasmasura performed severe penance to please Lord Shiva. Shiva appeared before him and asked, “What boon would you like?” The demon replied, “Let the one whose head I place my hand on be destroyed.” Shiva granted the boon. Immediately, Bhasmasura tried to place his hand on Shiva’s head to test the boon. The Lord ran away, escaping from him.

I secured a boon from Swami that those who have caused me pain, should not experience the fruits of their Karma. Those who have wronged me, who have caused trouble for me, are repeatedly placing their hand on my head. Their thoughts are only finding ways to prevent me from going near Swami.

Now Swami has explained all this to me and asked me to destroy them. If I had not secured this boon from Swami, the Karmic law would function as it should. As well as this, I prayed that they, ‘live long, live long’. Now they are protected in two ways; through my boon that they should not suffer due to Karmic law and because of the ‘live long’ poems.

12 December 2008 Meditation
Vasantha : Swami, please tell some more about what You told me yesterday.
Swami      : You have given a boon like that given to Bhasmasura. They are continually putting their hands on your head and making you suffer. Now you destroy or curse them.
Vasantha : Swami, I do not know how to speak harshly… I do not know. What shall I do? You destroy them in the Rudra Tandava form… or send Shiva Ganas to destroy them. I take back the boon I asked for. Please You do it Yourself.
Swami      : Another thing. On one hand, you cry wanting Me and on the other you desire Universal Liberation. These feelings are spreading throughout the cosmos through the Stupi. Those who oppose you are always thinking of ways to stop you from seeing Me. Their feelings are around you. This is the big obstacle to your vibrations. How did their thoughts get this power? From where does this power come? It is because of your blessings. You blessed them ‘live long, live long’. This is giving them power, this is the other side.
Vasantha : Swami, through ignorance I have become an obstacle to myself. Now I understand. Enough, enough… destroy them. I cannot forgive them any longer. I realize my mistake. Please destroy them.

11 December 2008 Meditation
Vasantha :  Swami, I cannot understand ‘God and Karmic law’.
Swami      : If you had kept quiet, Karmic law would have punished them. However, you not only secured the boon making them free from Karma, you also wrote poems for them declaring, ‘live long, live long’. You are protecting them in two ways and have interfered with the functioning of Karmic law. Now there is no way for Karmic law to operate.
Vasantha : Now what do I do Swami?

Swami      : You put all in the yagna fire on Vaikunta Ekadasi day.
End of Meditation

Friday, August 1, 2014

If not for Duryodhana, Karmic law could not have functioned and all would have survived. Due to this one man, Karmic law functioned for the destruction of many.
Therefore…
Duryodhana – Instrumental cause
Karmic law, the destruction of lives – Effect

In the same way,
Arjuna - Instrumental cause
God’s time form, the destruction in the war - Effect

The punishment for those who have harmed
     me – Instrumental cause
The dawn of Sathya Yuga and Liberation for
     all – Effect

Karmic law dictates that one must experience punishment and suffering for bad actions. This is lord Yama’s account. Due to my boon, Karmic law does not function and so there is no punishment. I have tied lord Yama’s hands. Now if I remove those ties, everyone’s Karmic accounts will finish and they will get liberation.
