Thought for the day

We should realise that the love we have for others is in truth only love for the Lord who resides within them

From the book, “Beyond the Upanishads”

The One is Purusha, the many is Prakrithi.
The One is the Creator, the many is the Creation.
The One is Sathya, its expansion is Prema.
The One is Shiva, His will is Shakthi.
Everyone should understand this Truth. Yagnavalkya says the following to his wife Maitrayi in the Upanishads, “The wife’s desire for the husband is not for his body or mind; it is for the Atma within him. The husband’s love for his wife, a parent’s love for child, is for the same reason.”
We should realize that the love we have for others is in truth, only love for the Lord who is within them. Once you realize this, then the secret of the One being many will be revealed.
Swami always tells, “You have forgotten the Creator and have become deluded by the creation.”
If you catch hold of the One who is God, it is enough. All other things will come to you effortlessly, automatically. There is an easy way to acquire whatever you desire from the mundane world. First see God and then all that you desire from the world will come to you. This will bring you the wisdom that all is perishable and only leads to misery.
