Thought for the day

As the flame of  lamp kept in a windless place does not flicker, so the illumined self is ever radiant

From the ebook Paramatma Satcharitha IV

In previous Avatars,Poornam functioning is not revealed in totality. Rama is Poornam and Krishna are Poornam, but are bound by their royal code of conduct, Raja Dharma. When the Avatars descend, they place a circle around themselves. They create certain dharmic principles, like Raja Dharma, Sanyas Dharma, Brahmacharya Dharmaand Organization Dharma. The Poornam then functions within those limits. The reasonfor all is Their Witness state; they function from the state of Witness. Yet, a man who attains the Poornam state through individual sadhana, functions with complete freedom. It does not remain bound by any dharma. This is individual Poornam. It shatters dharma in pieces. The Poornam functions freely, it is not controlled by anydharma. This individual Poornam breaks and throws all dharmas-Stree Dharma, scriptural Dharma, SocietyDharma,  Purusha Dharma, the Dharma of a householder–it breaks all of these. There are no dharmas that can bind and restrict the jeeva’s Poornam; it then shines in full brilliance. This Poornam challenges the world.
... O Dharma, O mankind, what fence can you build around me. How can
you stop me? What wall can you place around me and my flooding Prema?
What and who can stop the flowof my Prema? It is in this way it challenges all and the Poornam expands more and more. What is the limit of Poornam? Can the sky, space, any of the four directions or time limit it? Which? Which? Poornam shines and cuts all dharma as Dharma Teetha, going beyond dharma

Thought for the day

The highest dharma of man is to attain God

From the book Vasantha Sai Satcharitha

This letter, which is only for You,
Becomes the wind of Sathya Yuga.
My call which never ends, thunder
The wisdom that arises, the lightning.
My tears are the water."

"Letter, letter, letter,
though your letters
You change God.
God is witness
Witness God become
Prema God.

Feelings, feelings, feelings,
Through your feelings
You change the world.
Without Pralaya
Kali Yuga becomes Sathya Yuga."

Thought for the day
Feelings alone are responsible for bondage or freedom

PREMA
What is Prema? It is unsullied Love. Bhagavan is the embodiment of Prema, Bhagavan
is Love incarnate. Devotees all over the world are familiar with the following lines of
Bhagavan. Love is my form, Truth is breath.
For all the Love Bhagavan showers on us, He asks us only Love (Prema) in return. By
showering our love and Bhakthi we get in return the exalted state of Mukthi.
Let us try to earn the Grace of Bhagavan as suggested by the Saivaite Poet, Sri

Manickavachagar, who lived in the early years of 20th century. Sri Manickavachagar asks us
to imagine a system of barter wherein we and Bhagavan are co-traders. We are full of
shortcomings. Bhagavan in His extreme, compassion, will accept us as the commodity and in
return, He will offer Himself, In this exchange we are the beneficiaries. Why should we delay or
hesitate when such a Bhagavan is amidst us? The compassionate Lord is willing to act as a
fool and make us feel wiser so that we surrender to Him. God loves to be fooled if it is meant
for the Good of Humanity.
We should act immediately. Do not waste time. All that we have to do is to follow the
guidelines suggested by Vedas, Sastras & by Him. If we do so, Bhagavan will appear before
us.

Again we don't have to get worried and worked up as to how to learn Sastras in this
sort span of life. The compassionate Lord has shown us a simple way.

LOVE EVER HURT NEVER
Hurt none. Help ever and Love ever. Hurt none does not imply to hurt physically or
bodily alone. It has more profound meaning. We should not hurt other mentally or
emotionally.

Poet Thiruvalluvar had also explained in the following manner..
"The scar caused by burn will get healed but the scar caused by hurting words will
never heal. One should not utter harsh words.

To speak harshly instead of gently, is like plucking unripe fruit when a ripe fruit iss available."
Baba also requests us to speak lovingly and gently to others. "Speak gently and softly.
The Lord of the Lords, who is not attainable even for millions of years of penance, the
Lord whom Jnanis (Learned men) and Saints wait, just to have a mere Darshan, is now
available to all of us. Should it not be our aim to attain Him when He is very much amidst us
in the human form. He has incarnated Himself merely by His own Will when we are in the
threshold of the ill effects of Kali age. The ever- compassionate Lord has Himself incarnated
to raise humanity from the present state of misery. The embodiment of Prema is waiting for us
to shower bountiful Love.

The eminent poet, late Bharathiar, visualized Lord Krishna as Guru, God, the Trusted.

Thought for the day

What is birth? It is only a continuation of a previous birth

From the book "Autobiography of I without I"

“We stand on the shoulders of those who have come before us..."

ASCENT
Part One Part One
Chapter 1
“...the seed of wisdom is ‘I without i’.”
Seed
This is my autobiography. I was born into a family where all had deep devotional fervor. For generations, my ancestors were devotees of Lord Vishnu. My parents had great love for Lord Krishna. My father, Madhurakavi Azhwar was a freedom fighter. He was imprisoned many times. My father, who was only educated to the fourth standard, learned Hindi, Sanskrit and studied the Bhagavad Gita while in jail. He took part in various social movements that were a part of Gandhian thought. My father vowed, “I dedicate my life for the cause of women, harijans and the country.” He worked tirelessly for the ideals that were dear to his heart. An example of this was his commitment to the Kadhi movement. My father cultivated cotton in our garden, picked it, deseeded it and spun it into yarn before weaving it on a handloom. Every day he would set aside time for spinning of khadi at home. My father wore khadi all his life and wanted all in our house to follow his example. In the 1940’s when Gandhiji came to Madurai, my father made an offering of the khadi that he had woven. His spinning wheel never stopped. He kept the practice alive as a life principle!
The Khadi movement promoted home spinning as a demonstration against imported mill cloth. It encouraged unity, integrity, self-reliance and non-violence.
Some slogans popular among people in those days were:

‘Handloom liberates’. ‘Khadi is the lifeline of the poor’.
‘Khadi kindles dharmic thought’.
‘Khadi fosters unity’.

After India’s independence, my father did not enter political life, which was a natural choice of many. He followed Gandhiji’s assertion that the Congress movement was not for political aims, but to make India an independent nation. He then actively involved himself in village life and the welfare of the community. My father opened the ‘Gandhi Khadi Vidyalaya’ to benefit all in the village. There he would daily give free
medicine to the villagers and also ran a library. Daily common prayers were held at 6:00 pm. All from the village came together for prayer. On Fridays, bhajans were sung. He would teach the children the Gita, Narayan Suktha, Alwar’s verses and Andal’s Tiruppavai. The villagers fully appreciated my father’s faith and dedication; all loved his resounding voice that gave them hope and succour.  At home, my father’s austere life set an example. He maintained a rigorous schedule from morning till night that included meditation, walking, chanting, writing the names of the Lord, spinning cotton and keeping a diary. He followed his timetable precisely. When he went to the fields for his evening walk, the farm workers said, “Here
is Ayyah, it is 5’ o’ clock.”

Thought for the day

Controlling the five senses is possible by showing no desire in the comforts obtained through them.

From the book Bliss, bliss, bliss Pt 1

I said, “We are always talking about death in a world where people are frightened even
by the word death.” Whether we talk about death or  not, death is imminent. People don’t understand this. All that is born has to die. So why fear? What is an Ashram? It is a place, which teaches how to live life and how to die. How should we live a life in order that we will not be born again? What are the sadhanas that we should perform to achieve this end? A true Ashram will help people in all these things. It will remove the fear of death in them and teach how to die and become immortal beings. It is called Nachiketa vidya. Swami has said that Mukthi Nilayam will teach this Nachiketa Vidya.
Why should one be afraid of talking about samadhi? How many millions of life forms
have died so far? When we step out of the womb, our steps are on the bones of those that have
come before and left. The place of pilgrimage, Kasi, is called ‘Maha Mayan’, the great graveyard.

Death happens there every moment. Not only Kasi, the whole world is a graveyard. Death is
occurring all the time. Birth and death are Laws of Nature. What good is it going to do fearing
something that is inevitable? Do not fear death.
Like the ordinary schools that give worldly education, Ashrams give spiritual education.
They prepare people to meet death. They take people to eternal life. They train us to see God in
the temple of the heart. They show what is truth, what is eternal. Human life is impermanent. The
worldly pleasures and forms do not give true joy. Family, house, children, riches, name and fame
are not true wealth. All are subject to death and decay. Attaining God is our true joy. Earning
God’s love is our true wealth and glory.

The Ashrams should be like the Gurukulas of the past. They should be the training centers that will put into practice the theory of life and living. They are the laboratories that test and trust the truths preached by the Vedas, the Upanishads, and the Gita. It will not suffice to read scientific facts and theories. They should be practically tested and their conclusions verified.

Similarly, it is not enough to know the truth of the Vedas by reading. It is mere bookish
knowledge. How do we know the sweetness of sugar candy by looking at it? The sweetness
should be relished by eating. Similarly the principle truths of the Vedas and Vedanta should be realized through practical experience. This is sadhana. When we do intense sadhana, we will
become the sugar candy. We will transform into God’s form and attain Mukthi. It is then we
defeat death and become immortal.  This Mukthi Nilayam is going to do this task. The goal of
Mukthi Nilayam is the attainment of Radha’s Prema. Its aim is to mould everyone in the nature of Radha’s Prema. The spiritual values of the Ashram are based on the 19 ideals of Radha’s nature.

Each and everyone should practice and follow them.

Thought for the day

Freedom is touching God with pure Love. To touch the world is attachment.

From the book May 27 to May 27

WHOSE EYE?
Though my sight is very poor in both eyes, I am very firm that I should not go to a
doctor. I had been using the same pair of glasses for the last ten years though they had
many scratches. S.V. suggested that we consult an eye specialist. I refused. I said that we
would go to an optical shop and change the glasses if necessary. I asked Swami and He
said that I could go. When we were in the shop, the shop keeper checked the glasses and
said the left lens has a power of minus twelve and the right lens is plain; he persuaded
me to have the eyes tested by a doctor and asked why I was using plain glass in the right
eye. I recounted the following…
A few years ago, I had a cataract operation on the right eye and was given a lens of
plus five. The doctor asked me to return in three months to have cataract operation on
the left eye, but I managed with poor vision and did not go back. After one and half years,
I suddenly started to lose vision in the right eye, so we went to an eye specialist in
Virudhunagar. She said, “You have lost the retina in your right eye; a major operation is
needed.” We consulted the family doctor, who advised not to undergo surgery as it is
very complicated and rarely successful; he then gave me a plain glass for my right eye.
On that day, I decided that I would never undergo surgery. I thought, “It is God’s will. If
He wants, let Him give me eyesight. Otherwise, I will remain like this. Swami alone
should give me eyesight. I will not go to any doctor.”
I prayed to Swami and wrote a letter to Him. After a couple of months, I was able to
see with my right eye normally. “The retina came back!” I told everyone. However, I was
still finding it difficult to read properly. I used the left eye more and the cataract in it was
bad. The family insisted that I have an operation but I refused.
After hearing all this, the shop man was very surprised and said, “No retina means
no eye. How are you able to see?” He checked my vision again and exclaimed, “It is a big
miracle. It is only due to God’s grace that you have eyesight!” However, he said that I
should see an eye doctor. For now, he would only change the frame and give new glasses
with same power.

Thought for the day

Feelings centered on God help one to gain freedom from the cycle of birth and death

From the book Prema Sai Avatar Part 1

A few years ago, Swami told me in meditation, “You are going to write a book on
Prema Sai Avatar.”
In August 2005, when Swami suddenly asked me to begin this book, I was very
surprised. I did not expect Swami’s command so soon. I thought that the task would start
only after a few years. The book was completed in three months and Swami asked me to
print it immediately. Here, I share the visions of the future events in Prema Sai Avatar’s
life. These events awaken higher wisdom in the seeker. They shed light on the laws
governing birth and creation.
This book exemplifies the principle of reflection, reaction and resound that Swami
always speaks about. Based on this principle, I show how a feeling becomes a karmic
debt and sows the seed for rebirth. Man is born due to karmic debt. What is the way to
resolve this debt? The book answers this question and many others including God’s debt
to me and how the debt shall be repaid in Prema Sai Avatar.
The book is a treasury of wisdom for humanity. I show how the Avatar’s relatives
are chosen; the desire to live with God is fulfilled only after many cycles of birth in the
four ages. This makes one wonder how many births it takes to fulfill the thousands of
worldly desires experienced by a person before the desire for God is realized!
I have only the desire to attain God, I will enjoy complete union with Him in Prema
Sai Avatar. The Avatar will answer my tearful calls and prayers, He will show His
response for my yearning every moment.
Attachment for a worldly life causes rebirth. This world is a maya drama you see on
the Sathya screen. The picture on the screen changes according to the glasses you wear.
The glasses are the three qualities of Sathwa, Rajas, and Tamas. When you remove the
glasses, you see the Truth, Sathya. The Sathya screen never changes. All that you see on
it is maya. The Lord is Truth, Sathya. The world is maya. As you begin your sadhana,
remember this and catch hold of God alone.

Thought for the day

A mind fixed on God will be always at peace

From the book 'Bliss "Bliss "Bliss
Part 2

Mukthi Nilayam's role is to give liberation to one and all. Swami instructed me to write my experiences in books; all these show the path of Prema only. When I wrote on the Gita, I explained the simple way to follow its teachings in our daily lives and to attain
salvation. I explained that we can reach the state of liberation here itself right now without undertaking severe penance. Swami said that Liberation Here Itself Right Now Pt. 3 contains the essence of the Vedas presented in a way easily grasped by all. In it I wrote about my life and experiences in a simple way so that all could understand and gain benefit. The path of Prema that I show leads one to the path of wisdom and devotion. Swami then asked me to write on the Upanishads. As I had never read or studied them, I knew nothing about them. So once again, by using my life and experiences as an
example, I gave new meaning to the teachings. I wrote that God could not be fully known through them and can only be tied or bound by pure love, Prema. Again, Swami asked me to write on another well-known scripture, the Brahma Sutra. What do I know of this?
I am the one who has tied the Lord with my Prema Sutra (one of the meanings in Tamil for Sutra is thread; the other meaning is principle or formula); what do I know about His Brahma Sutra? I am sure that you must be surprised to read this.

Though I had never studied the Vedas, Swami gave me the name, Nava Vedamaarga Sthaapanayai, meaning the one who established the path of the new Veda. It is because I have redefined the Vedas, Upanishads and Brahma Sutra that I now face so
many problems and obstacles. The karmas of all the people of the world are being removed and their fates changed. They do not have to bear the fruits of their karmas and so the gods are deprived of the former rituals and respect, Pariharams, previously performed by those people. These minor gods are now showing their displeasure by not allowing the work to proceed. Sri Krishna said, "Worship the mountain that is in front of your eyes and not the
god that you cannot see." In the same way, I have said, "Why read and study the Vedas, Shastras and Upanishads that explain in depth about an unseen God? The rules and regulations laid down by them are very difficult to adhere to and can only be followed by a few people. The Lord is right here right now before your eyes.

Thought for the day

The ego can never reach the place that innocence attains

From the ebook Paramatma Satcharitha pt 3

Full interest + Clear mind + Awareness + Focus + Perfect Action=no forgetfulness
This is what Swami wrote. In Vinobhaji’s treatise on the Gita, he tells that, ‘forgetfulness is a disease’. A person says that he will do something and then does not. Someone asks him, ‘Why did you not do it? The man replies. ‘Oi Yo! I forgot!’ The person hears this and is consoled. All casually accept forgetfulness. Yet, how many are made to suffer difficulties through this.
Swami has now shown a remedy how to remove the forgetfulness. Whatever task we undertake must be done with full interest. We must do it happily with full eagerness. If you do it as duty, with unwillingness and disinterest, as though it were a burden, then there will be no happiness. It is only if something is done happily, that interest comes. Through this, we feel involved in what we are doing.
An example. Every day Amar searches for Swami’s message. He patiently goes from room to room, sometimes searching for two hours. If we do not have patience, tiredness comes, ‘how long I am searching?’ If all is done patiently with full involvement for God, then His grace comes to him and a message comes. Similarly, if we do our work with a clear mind, we do not suffer with confusion. All must be done in this way. If you contemplate each time and think, ‘How to do this work?’ Then you will faultlessly accomplish all. If you contemplate before you begin any task, then your full attention will be there and the mind clear.

Thought for the day

You can count the grains of sand on the seashore but you can naver fully understand the glories of God.

From the book liberation Here Itself Right Now Part 1

I see my body in front. I see my blood vessels just as a doctor would see through a microscope. The blood cells have numerous small forms of Bhagavan circulating throughout the body. Swami says, "See! Your entire body is pervaded by My form".

Thought for the day

The Gita is...the nectar of Salvation

From the book Vasantha Sai Satcharitha

Let this whole world
know this truth
Prakrithi is inside God!
Amma is inside Swami
A place no one can see!
No organisation can rule!
Very correct Amma!
Truth is perfect
It is as it is!
Your place inside Swami!

Thought for the day

Material wealth is perishable, but spiritual wealth is permanent

From the book Vasantha Sai Satcharitha

A poem...

O Goddess of Chastity!
You saw only Him everywhere
You created only Him at all places,
This is your New Age,
Live long, Love long!

In the dry hearts,
You sowed the seed of Prema
A thousand year yield!
Live long, Live long Sathya Yuga!

Even Kali yuga is a good yuga
It has given us our beloved Gods
Thank you, thank you Kali Yuga!

Thought for the day
Attachment and affection lead to confusion. Love for God leads to Self Realisation.

From the book Principle of Becoming God

When our feelings are turned towards God, they become Truth. When they are turned towards the world, it is untruth.

In the beggining of sadhana, seeing the world as Maya, one should turn within. After attaining the vision of God, he should see the entire world as God.

Wisdom is incomplete if it has not been put into practice.

Thought for the day

The Lord gives liberation to those who want it and enjoyment to those who desire it

From the book: Liberation Here Itself Right Now Pt 1

I wrote the preface for Liberation Here Itself Right Now the first edition in 1997. Now, after eight years, I am writing a new preface for the third edition. In my own eyes I see abig change. This book is the essence of my life; it is the seed from which a huge tree has grown with many branches, buds, blossoms and fruits. I have written many books elaborating on this one. Over the years thirteen books have been published and thirteen more books are pending publication.

This book is written in three sections: namely, Saalokya, Saameepya and Saarupya Mukthi. Swami said that each of these show a stage in my sadhana. Now, I am immersed in the final stage of Sayujya Mukthi.

In Saalokya one enters the Kingdom of Mukthi. He sees many blissful scenes and enjoys himself. In order to enter into this Kingdom, one must purify oneself. Virtues must be nurtured and undesirable qualities removed; then one will get the darshan of his personal God.

After this, one will enjoy a state where h sees the Lord's glories everywhere and in everything. He can feel the Lord's presence and nearness. This is called Saameepya mukthi. In Saarupya Mukthi, one always lives with the Lord. He enjoys His glories every moment. He is absorbed in the Divine.

At the time of writing the first edition, I had experienced the above states to a certain extent. Today, I am seeing the expansive cosmic form of those states. I feel Swami's presence everywhere. I see the entire universe as His kingdom. In the most direct way, I realise that there is nothing in the world that is not God.

I have filled Him in me, so attaining complete Saarupya, oneness with the form of my Lord, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. I have merged with Him. I am immersed in the Bliss of the Self at all times. You too can enjoy this bliss. Bhagavan has come here! Let us all attain Mukthi here itself right now!

Thought for the day

If the mind is peaceful the
 body will not be afflicted

From the book Liberation Here itself Right Now

Faith
Sacrifice and Seva are essential in spirituality. One must have unflinching effort and unshakable faith. Devotion should flow continuously like a stream of oil. Above all this, one should have the grace of the Lord. It is only with His grace, we can have direct experience. However, one must not ask for proof of a devotees experience. the faith we have in his words will kindle devotion in our hearts.

Thought for the day

Why desire a wordly kingdom when the kingdom of God is waiting for us?

From the ebook Paramatma Satcharita Part III

This is what I wrote in a previous chapter about Prema.
Why this much Prema? This Prema makes me mad. I have no feelings in the body of hunger and thirst. There is no happiness or sorrow, no relatives, no worldly feelings. There is only Swami, Swami, 24 hours, all His feelings. My senses never feel anything. If I cannot understand my own state, how can others? Which category do I belong to? Where do I belong in this God’s creation? Where and what do I connectto? The animal species? Birds? Creatures of the sea? Which category am I? Am I with human beings? Which? Which? If I am human, I have none of their qualities... I do not have a human nature. I do not have the feelings of hunger and thirst, which belongs to human. I do not have man and woman attraction, which belongs to the world. I have no interest in worldly enjoyments. Thus, it is sure I am not of the human species. I have none of the attachment and bondage, which belong to humans. I have no ‘i and mine’, so am not human caste.
Then what am I? Am I Devas category? No, I do not have any of the pleasures, which belong to the Devas. I have no hunger and thirst like Devas, but none of their happiness! Thus, I am definitely not in the Devic category? Then who I am? Am I Yaksha? They possess all the wealth of Kubera and belong to Kubera’s city. They are adorned with more jewels. However, I have no jewels or desire for them either. I only wore jewels for six years. I did not wear before marriage and stopped wearing them after marriage and renounced all. Swami gave many gems and pearls and asked me to make ornaments fromthem. I renounced all. As for wealth, I never touch money. I have been like this from my young age. I never carried any money, but others would carry it for me. So, I am surely not a Yaksha. Then who I am? Who I am? I do not like anything other than Swami!

Thought for the Day:
Crave for God; Love Him. Tell Him that you want Him and Him only.

From the book Liberation Here Itself Right Now Pt 1

"God is my strength. God is my love. God is my friend. God is my beloved, my only one. When He is absent from me, I am bereft of everything. I am a beggar. When He is with me, I am filled with love and joy. I am filled with courage and strength."
 Sri Sri Dayamata

The above quote is a good description of my life. Swami has said, "You live for God. You live with God. Now you are merged in God."

Swami says, "Duty, devotion and discippline: I do my household duties such as cooking, sweeping, washing and cleaning vessels whenever and wherever they are necessary. With devotion and discipline, I spend more time in japa, pooja, prayer and meditation.

Thought for the day
True worship is to be always in the thoughts of God.

From the book The Principle of Becoming God

Will you not show me a sign my Sai?
Thy grace! You are the One who conquers my heart!
Will You not let the world know this?
Show a sign!

You are in my blood
You are in my soul
You gave Your feet as my refuge
For all to know this compassion
Will You not show me a sign my Sai...

There is none in my heart other than You
There are no moments when I have not thought of You
You gave me Your feet in Thy grace
For all to know what I deserve
Will You not show me a sign my Sai...

Thought for the day

Worship is the journey of the soul to perfection. True worship is always to be in thoughts of God.

From the book: Vasantha Sai Brindavan Satsang

Faith is a very important principle created by God in man. If we have the faith that all are good, then we will have belief in ourselves and in others. These days, we don't even believe our neighbours nor do we have faith in them. We go to bed everynight with faith that we will get up the next morning. Even animals sleep, though they are always watchful. We should not have any fear that we will be afflicted by anyone or anything. If we have faith and believe in others, then we will not have any fear. Because it is only God that resides in every person's heart. If we love everyone without hatred then we will receive only love. You have to detach the mind from the body and turn it towards God. In order to turn the mind to God, one has to watch the mind and the thoughts. Then we will not be cheated by the mind.

Thought for the day --Vasantha Sai Brindavan Satsang

Thought for the day

The nameless and formless God takes many forms for the sake of devotees.  The forms differ according to the nature of the worshipper.

From the book  " Vasantha Sai Brindavan Satsang

 Lord of the Rings

One day at satsang just before meditation, Nicola from the U.K. gave Amma a new ring she had purchased only that morning with the help of a friend. Her friend was also there for meditation.
Vasantha: She asked me to put it on my finger (aw a way of blessing it). I did this. Afterwards I gave it back to her without thinking about it. I forgot I was wearing it.
Eddy happened to look at the white clear jewel and saw to his surprise Swami's image there. All who were there could see Swami standing deep inside the white stone of the ring. Nicola attended the satsangs regularly and sang bhajans beautifully.

Thought for the day

The seed of bhakthi lovingly planted grows into the tender plant of devotion protected by the fence of sadhana to yield the fruit of attainment called God.

From the book Wisdoms Mine

Question: Who is a true sadhaka?
Answer: The one who will not rest until he attains God
Question: How do I purify the body, mind and intellect?
Answer: Every thought, word and deed should be watched meticulously so they do not waver from God. Nothing should be hurtful. Chanting and other austerities ca nullify past actions.
Question: In His Dasara Discourse, Swami said that the forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are all imagination. Can you explain?
Answer: Is the world real? Are our forms real? The world is a dream. People take a name and form for their own sake, to concentrate the mind. When Swami says to love all, they ignore it. If Swami says that the forms of God are not real, they want to know about it. It is escapism.

Thought for the day

The man without attachment and desire is the wealthiest in the world.

From the book The Mukthi Stupi -
Scepter of Truth

Amma's Daily self examination

Did you get angry or impatient?

Did you hurt anyone by thought, word or deed?

Did you think about the past or the future?

Did you speek or listen unnecessarily?

Did you always have a smiling face?

Did you learn anything from your work (or from anyone else)?

Did you have any new desire?

Did you find fault with anyone today?

How much of the day did you think about or remember God?
