Thought for the day

The seed of bhakthi lovingly planted grows into the tender plant of devotion protected by the fence of sadhana to yield the fruit of attainment called God.

From the book Wisdoms Mine

Question: Who is a true sadhaka?
Answer: The one who will not rest until he attains God
Question: How do I purify the body, mind and intellect?
Answer: Every thought, word and deed should be watched meticulously so they do not waver from God. Nothing should be hurtful. Chanting and other austerities ca nullify past actions.
Question: In His Dasara Discourse, Swami said that the forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are all imagination. Can you explain?
Answer: Is the world real? Are our forms real? The world is a dream. People take a name and form for their own sake, to concentrate the mind. When Swami says to love all, they ignore it. If Swami says that the forms of God are not real, they want to know about it. It is escapism.
