He who has not controlled his mind and senses can have no determinate intellect; nor can such an undisciplined man have the sense of duty. The man without the sense of duty can have no peace; and how can there be happiness for one lacking peace.

 

 

Kanna, give me controlled mind, give me intellect, give me a sense of duty, give me peace, give me amrathwa (eternal life). Devadideva, Deenrakshaka, Dayala, O Supreme Lord, O protector of devotees, You are my refuge. Sharnam, sharnam.
